The Savannah MMA Report

Greg Jackson is coach to some of the biggest stars in the UFC. His coaching principles have taken his fighters to the top of the game and he continues to produce top quality fighters and athletes from his gym. He recently visited Hinesville GA at Fort Stewart for an MMA seminar after coaching his student Rashad Evans to a knockout victory over Chuck Liddell on Saturday.

Savannah Martial Arts Academy’s own Dennis Dutton (pictured above on the left) was present at the seminar for some new techniques and got same great training as well. Dennis conveyed how great the seminar was and how effective the training would be for a realistic situation as well as for MMA training for competition. The seminar consisted of takedown defense and how to get back to your feet from the ground. Great ideas for close combat in wartime situations as prolonged grappling can be impractical in a firefight or urban altercation.

Greg was pleased to speak with Dennis and help coach him through the session and hopefully we will get a chance to meet Greg again in Savannah in the future.
